Twitter - The 2000 or Why we had to unfollow you

Why did we unfollow you??? Your selfish and think you are more important than us so you did not see the need to reciprocate our follow! #:o)>

Seriously there is a powerful force on Twitter it is the number 2000. The 2000 Followers you must have before you can follow more than 2000 other Tweeple. We have seen numerous posting asking why they can't follow that the follow function is not working. Why are Tweeple unfollowing them. We totally understand the 2000 limit is in place to stop Follow Spammers. It can be frustrating for the little guy like us. We love to interact, retweet and follow your links...

As we currently do not have 2000 Followers (Panhandling for followers: Follow Us, PLEASE! http://twitter.com/thehillers) we are limited to 2000 that we can follow. In an effort to keep from exceeding this number we unfollow anyone we follow who does not reciprocate. This rules out following all but a few celebrities who follow us back and a considerable percentage the top 50 Twits. Our exception are Newspapers, Reuters etc. as we don't have an expectation of interaction.

So if you want us to follow bring your friends and help us achieve 2000 so we can follow all the rich & famous and include their rantings in our Retweets.
